How to read these numbers
Certified range is a lab figure. IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range is measured on a test bench at moderate speeds. In Delhi traffic, with a pillion or in summer heat, expect noticeably less. Pick a battery with headroom over your daily distance rather than the cheapest one that matches it on paper.
₹ per km of range is a value check, not a running cost. It tells you how much battery you get for your money. Two scooters at the same price can differ a lot here, which is why the bigger-battery variants of the same model often work out cheaper per km.
Best value for range: the Ather Rizta gives 123 km of certified range for ₹1,30,710, or ₹1,063 per km (among the models that publish a range).
The same price across NCR. Because Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana all exempt electric two-wheelers from road tax, an electric scooter costs about the same in Noida or Gurgaon as in Delhi, unlike a petrol model. Read why petrol bikes cost more in Noida.
